Carlos Petersen Biester was one of the founders of Partido Acción Nacional (Action National Party) in Jalisco. In 2010, he started writing a book, Memorias Acción Nacional (Action National Memories) as a record of his work within the party since he joined in 1939, until his resignation in 2001.
In 2018 his family decided to re–publish the memoirs in a risographic printed book that now includes digitalizations of archive photographs, newspaper cut–outs & letters printed and inserted between the pages, as well as a screen–printed timeline that serves as a dust jacket for the book.
